Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass Animation

Animation showing normal abdominal anatomy including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel and colon as well as an animated visualization of a roux-en-y gastric bypass procedure. During a roux-en-y gastric bypass, a gastric pouch is created using a stapler to isolate a section of the stomach, the roux limb is created by dividing the jejunum and attaching it to the gastric pouch, and the remaining portion of the divided jejunum is attached to the bottom of the roux limb creating a new pathway for food.
