Right Carpal Tunnel Release with EpiFix Allograft Placement

Right Carpal Tunnel Release with EpiFix Allograft Placement

This exhibit shows the palmar view of the right hand in the preoperative condition with right carpal tunnel syndrome. In the preoperative condition, the median nerve is compressed at the transverse carpal ligament. A carpal tunnel release procedure with an EpiFix allograft placement is used to treat this syndrome. The procedure encompasses creating an incision to expose the transverse carpal ligament. The ligament is then transected in order to decompress the median nerve and an EpiFix allograft is placed over the median nerve.
