Reperfusion Injury of the Spinal Cord

Reperfusion Injury of the Spinal Cord

The sagittal view shows a reperfusion injury of the spinal cord. In the preoperative condition, there is restricted blood flow from the thinning and compression of the spinal cord due to a spinal cyst. The post-drainage condition shows blood flow restored and the cyst sac still presenting with reduction in compression. The subsequent condition shows severe inflammation and swelling.
