Progression of Swelling Causing Torsion

Progression of Swelling Causing Torsion

This exhibit shows the anterior view of the scrotum and testicles with progression of the swelling, causing torsion. The prior condition shows swelling of the right testicle and scrotum with torsion of the spermatic cord, leading to lack of blood flow to the testicle (ischemia). The current condition shows torsion of the spermatic cord, hematoma, necrotic (dead) right testicle, and redness and discoloration of the scrotum.
