Emergency Landing Flight Path

This courtroom animation shows the flight path of a Beech 36 plane making an emergency landing. Night instrument meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot found a golf course with an open fairway for a potential landing location. The airplane was on an approximate course of 340 degrees and about a height of 30 feet above ground level (agl) when the right wing made contact with a tree at the beginning of the fairway. The final section of the animation shows a point of view of the pilot into the approach. The demonstrative exhibit has the altitude of the plane (ft MSL), the flight path in an overhead view, and a running clock until landing displayed.
