Cystogram Procedure

This animation displays the anterior view of a cystogram procedure on a female patient. A cystogram is used to detect any tears or defects in the urinary tract through the use of contrast material and x-rays. This procedure involves contrast material entering the kidneys via the circulatory system. The contrast material will then flow into the patient's urine and follow the normal urinary tract including the ureters, bladder, and urethra.
