Cardiac Catheterization

Cardiac Catheterization

This medical exhibit displays the anterior view of the heart and cross-sectional view of the coronary artery undergoing a cardiac catheterization. This process encompasses inserting the catheter through the radial artery and advancing it towards the heart and into the circumflex coronary artery. The guidewire is then released into the diseased coronary artery until it reaches the region of stenosis. The balloon is then inflated to deploy the stent and expand the stenosis.
