Occiput Posterior Position with Caput and Molding

In the occiput posterior (OP) position, the back of the infant's head is faced toward the back of the mother's pelvis. Newborn head molding occurs when pressure from the birthing process creates an abnormal head shape. Fluid build-up (caput) may also occur.
