ROP (Right Occiput Posterior) Position

The term 'Occiput Posterior' (OP) refers to the direction in which the baby is facing during labor. During OP the back of the baby's head is to the back of the mother's pelvis. When the baby's head is tilted towards one shoulder, this is known as asynclitism. The tipped head has a harder time passing through the birth canal.
