| Computer animation is revolutionizing the way information is being presented in modern litigation. Rather than simply viewing a map of the site of an automobile accident and the pictures of the resulting damage, jurors can watch a re-creation of the accident as described by a witness on the stand. At Trial Exhibits, our experienced Forensic Animators are able to simulate driving conditions such as weather, lighting, and speed. Using their training in the art of visual perception, our animators choose whether jurors will view the accident from the perspective of the driver, from overhead, or another perspective to best convey the story to the panel. Animations are being used in all types of cases to simplify complex scientific processes such as the development of sinkholes, recreate accidents, or even visually depict murders. Animations of medical problems or procedures are particularly useful in court as they are less invasive than video, able to illustrate hidden processes, and retain juror attention.
